“ Once you listen to The Band Hennessy I think you’ll agree they have something special and unique about their music. I think having 2 female lead vocals both with extremely different sounds gives the band a pop appeal that few acts possess in today’s scene. I get excited every time I find a new up and coming band to not only feature here on the site but also to become a fan of their music.”

THE BAND HENNESSY
Up/Down Records Recording Artist
The Band Hennessy is a co-ed rock outfit that brings a powerhouse original sound and performance. In 2014, Ashley & Heather Hennessy would decide to unite their distinct and powerful voices - a collaboration that would later introduce them to their future band members. Their once individual voices now create dynamic harmonies that stand out from mainstream music as they continue to rise into music's stratosphere.
In 2017, they released their debut album, So Much For Love, with CD release shows in Houston,TX before launching it live on iTunes and other major music outlets. So Much For Love features producer Eric Holtz - a crucial genius behind the engineering, arrangement, and development of the freshman album from Up/Down Studios.
The well-received album earned them a spot alongside Ty Herndon and Scooter Brown Band on the "All About The Ride Tour" on Live Nation’s Revention Music Center stage in Houston, TX. Fans from all over gathered to enjoy the energy-packed lineup raising over $8,000 for the Lone Survivor Foundation.
In June of 2019, The Band Hennessy was voted as Houston's "Next Big Thing" Contest Winner on 94.5 The Buzz ‘s Rod Ryan Show beating out over 70+ area bands by fan vote—and with this honor came a recording contract with the Up/Down Studios Record Label, as well as an opening slot for Blue October when they hit the stage at Houston's 1st Annual Music and Arts Festival at White Oak Music Hall on July 27, 2019.
Stay tuned on upcoming shows, events, and tours by joining their email list or following them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
They’ve opened for numerous international acts such as Blue October, Robert Delong, Morgxn, Hinder, Framing Hanley, Sick of Sarah, Ty Herndon, Hunter Valentine and more.
The Band Hennessy also offers more intimate, acoustic performances for venues seeking to book a smaller version of their live show.
Once you see your first live show, you will understand why many are captivated by these two powerful front-women. Their chemistry while performing on stage only showcases their distinctive sound further when their harmonies fuse together… showcasing one of the only bands today that feature two leading ladies.
